George Mason �鶹���� will celebrate Spring Commencement on Thursday by honoring a record-setting number of students earning degrees, and nearly 11,800 students total will be recognized for earning degrees or certificates.

At its May 1 meeting, the George Mason �鶹���� Board of Visitors (BOV) voted 10-4 to keep in-state tuition flat for the 2025-26 academic year, citing the university’s standing as an affordable option for students and families across the commonwealth, and approved a tuition increase for out-of-state students as well as an increase in mandatory student fees for all students.

George Mason �鶹����’s Board of Visitors (BOV) on Thursday, Feb. 27, introduced three new board members, discussed the university’s response to the recent executive orders, approved an antisemitism resolution, and provided an update on several key initiatives and future planning efforts.

The U.S. Department of State has named George Mason �鶹���� a “Top Producing Institution” of Fulbright U.S. Scholars in 2024-25. The university has more Fulbrights this academic year—eight—than in any year in its history.

With a final pre-tassel-turning lesson about leadership, kindness, and resilience, more than 5,200 George Mason �鶹���� students graduated or earned certificates Thursday at Winter Commencement in EagleBank Arena on the Fairfax Campus.
