Biography

Nicholas Kfoury Horner is a singer, voice-over artist, stage actor, and director based in the Washington D.C. area. He trained in Voice and Theater at renowned institutions such as Stella Adler Conservatory, The Juilliard School, Michael Howard Studios, Studio A.C.T., The Roy Hart Institute (France), and Âé¶¹¹ú²ú of Cambridge (England). 

With a foundation in vocal performance and pedagogy, Nick studied with notable teachers including Wayne Kemp, Gene Galvin, Melanie Sonnenberg, Tom Pederson, Sharon Christman, Kate Al-Shamma, Shari Carlson, and Patsy Rodenburg, and has coached with masters Renée Fleming, Benita Valente, and Leyna Gabriele. Performing dozens of Oratorio works over more than a decade, Nick has worked with renowned conductors including Gretchen Kuhrmann, Norman Scribner, Robert Shafer, J. Reilly Lewis, Stanley Engebretson, André Thomas, Bob Chilcott and John Rutter, among numerous others. He was also featured on the Grammy nominated album Heritage in Robinson’s Kyrie. Nick is a regular soloist at Ft. Myer and Arlington National Cemetery and continues his work of more than 20 years throughout the Arlington Catholic Diocese as a soloist and clinician. 

His theater credits span 25+ roles on stage and over 80 productions as a director, assistant director, producer, or music director. 

Deeply grounded in the interdisciplinary connections between music and theater, Nick has a particular passion for educational theater and the importance of a liberal arts approach to multi-disciplinary learning. He has taught and directed theater for YPT, Bishop O’Connell High School, Heartbeats Studio, Harmonia School, Northern Virginia Community College, PanTheatre, Ebong Theatrix, Georgetown Âé¶¹¹ú²ú, Playwrights Horizons, and currently at George Mason Âé¶¹¹ú²ú where he offers courses in Directing, Voice & Speech, Dramatic Literature, and Global Theater. He also serves as Co-director of — George Mason's first international play exchange— which has produced over 75 student-written plays since its launch in 2020. 

In addition to his work at George Mason, Nick owns and operates InTune Studio– offering classical and musical theater singing, acting, piano, and violin in Falls Church, VA. Nick is a member of SAG-AFTRA, Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC), The National Society for Collegiate Scholars, Phi Kappa Phi, The Voice and Speech Trainers Association (VASTA), The Catholic Business Network, and holds a Paralegal Certification. His research areas include Interdisciplinary Arts, Middle Eastern Theater, Directing, Voice & Speech, and Creative Arts Therapy.
